With everyone getting ready to go back to school it seems like the time to post some new recipes for you to try out. This morning I baked these for my daughter, grandaughter and myself to have for breakfast. They are great warm, especially when the weather gets a little cooler. We ate them without any butter, cream cheese, etc. But they are great served with butter or creamcheese.

Cream together wll:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon salt

Stir in to above mixture:
3 mashed bananas

Dissolve
1 teaspoon baking soda into
1 tablespoon hot water

Add to creamed mixture along with
2 cups all purpose flour, shifted
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Fill lined muffin pans, makes about 16 regular sized muffins. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Enjoy! Smile
